a year ago, i stumbled across the lomography website, and instantly fell in love with the holga. not knowing anything about medium format, i decided to buy one and teach myself how to use this little piece of plastic.

my first mistake was buying it off of the lomography website. it cost me around $120, but it's only about $30 if you buy it off of amazon.
oops. lesson learned.

in the days before i got my holga, i googled everything about it...how to load film, how to do some cool mods, where to get my film developed, etc.
by the time my holga came in the mail, i was an expert.
(well, not an EXPERT, but i kind of knew what i was doing before i even picked it up)

this sounds really corny and cliche, but my holga changed my life.

before i got my holga, i didn't really have anything i was passionate about. i've always been into photography, but my holga introduced me to the world of film photography. there's nothing like the excitement of opening up an envelope of photos and looking through them for the first time.

i now own four lomo cameras, and i spend atleast $100 a month on film and processing.
i don't leave my house without atleast 2 of my cameras, and i've started looking at the world differently. i pay more attention to colors and shapes around me, and i look at everything as a photo opportunity.
 

i now own a holga, diana, actionsampler, and supersampler.
the lomo fisheye camera is next on my wishlist.
